We have made a request for a pair of Class 31 locomotives supplied by British American Railway Services Ltd to haul this tour. The train will consist of Standard, First and Premier Dining accommodation. A buffet will be available serving a wide range of food and drink, including real ale.
Standard Class
These traditional, comfy British Rail coaches are ideal for a day out. Seating in standard class are arranged in bays of four, the majority with tables.
First Class
If you want a little extra luxury, First class is perfect. The coaches feature spacious, well padded seats, and will make your trip that bit more special! For a supplement of £15 per person, a "table for two" can be reserved, giving you a table to yourself - ideal for couples! Premier Dining
This includes a First Class seat, breakfast and a 3-course evening meal. Also there will be an at-seat service providing complementary tea and coffee throughout the journey. Thorpe Bay option Rail enthusiasts may be interested to know that this tour is expected to continue to Thorpe Bay station, you are welcome to remain on the train beyond Southend, to Thorpe Bay, if you wish. Our arrival time is booked for 13:23 and departure from Thorne Bay is scheduled for 15:55.
