We are pleased to announce our next tour will be the
Deltic Retro Scot 2 on Monday 31st May 2010.
This day-trip journey from stations in the North to
Edinburgh, will take a circular route over the famous Settle & Carlisle
railway, arriving in the Scottish capital around midday. You will have
around 4 hours to enjoy in Edinburgh before the special train returns
south via the traditional route of Deltics, the East Coast Main Line.
Very approximate timings are shown below, however
these are subject to change and the final confirmed timings will not be
released by Network Rail until approximately one week before the tour.

Train Information
We have made a request for Class 55 'Deltic' 55022 'Royal
Scots Grey' which is expected to be back on both engines for this tour.
The train will consist of Standard, First and Premier Dining accommodation.
Standard Class
These traditional, comfy British Rail coaches are ideal for a day out. Seating in standard class are arranged in bays of four, the majority with tables.
First Class
If you want a little extra luxury, First class is perfect. The coaches feature
spacious, well padded seats, and will make your trip that bit more special! For
a supplement of £15 per person, a "table for two" can be reserved, giving you a
table to yourself - ideal for couples!
Premier Dining
This includes a First Class seat, breakfast and a 3-course evening meal. Also
there will be an at-seat service providing complementary tea and coffee
throughout the journey. We can be flexible with requirements for children,
please call us to enquire.

Bookings, including online booking, are now open.
Bookings made after 1st May 2010 will be £5.50 more than those detailed above.
Catering
Andy's popular Real Bar bar will again on the train, serving beers provided by the
Greenfield Real Ale Brewery, along with
hot and cold sandwiches and snacks. There will also be a trolley service in both First and
Standard classes.
Also, if you would like a continental breakfast when you board, this is
available at £6. Also, for the return journey in the evening a Ploughman's tea
will be available also priced at £6. Please ensure to check the box on the
booking form if you would like a breakfast. This option is available in both
standard and first classes.
