The Salisbury Network Awayday minitour
Update (16 May): tickets will be dispatched by the end of the week, and should be with passengers by early next week. Please call us if you haven't received your tickets by Wednesday 23rd May.
Join us between the South West cities of Bath and Salisbury. Our trip will give you the opportunity to either make a return trip from Bath to the splendid cathedral city of Salisbury, or alternatively you can make a single journey in their direction.
The medieval city of Salisbury is famous for its cathedral, which boasts the tallest spire in England.
Often called ‘The city in the countryside’, Salisbury is a fantastic city to explore. It is also one of the few cities to retain a copy of the Magna Carta. You call stroll along the historic alleyways, past charming half-timbered buildings and of course sample some of its many traditional inns!
We have requested a pair of Direct Rail Services (DRS) Class 37s to haul this tour.
Our famous "Real Ale" bar is available, serving hand-pumped ales from Greenfield Brewery as well as hot & cold snacks. In addition a trolley service will be available in both First and Standard class.
These traditional, comfy British Rail coaches are ideal for a day out. Seating in standard class are arranged in bays of four, the majority with tables.
