The Retro Welsh Dragon 2
Saturday 15th July 2017

Update (14/07/2017): A very limited number of seats are available to pay on the day; please contact us to check.

Join us for our first tour of 2017 to South Wales. You will have the choice of alighting at either the Welsh capital, Cardiff, or continue the delightful coastal city of Swansea.

The tour will depart from stations in West Yorkshire and the North West, before taking the ‘Marches Line’ towards Cardiff. This route skirts the Wales/ England border, and is renowned for its scenery.

We are due to arrive in Cardiff just before lunchtime, where you will have over 5 hours to explore the many sights the city has to offer, including Cardiff Castle as well as a variety of retail opportunities.

If you choose to stay on until Swansea, you have just under 3 hours to enjoy the coastal city.

Whether visiting the Marina or the local inns, the city, with its rich maritime history has plenty to keep you occupied during the break.

The train will return from Swansea at 15:20 and Cardiff at 17:04, before returning north via the Marches Line. We have requested 2x DRS 37s to haul this tour.

The following timings have now been confirmed by Network Rail:
